Bringing joy into their lives

Camps
Our camps and retreats allow children to forget, for a short while, just how sick they are. Accompanied by a full medical team of 4 doctors, 5 nurses, 2 psychologists, and 2 tons of medical equipment, any child that the hospital consents can join our camps. The 130+ children receive all their regular treatment while enjoying the camaraderie and excitement of camp, giving them a reason to keep fighting.
Volunteer madrichim and madrichot
Our volunteers accompany the children to camp and visit sick children in the hospital and at home to bring them treats and cheer them up. They give up their free time to bring smiles to the faces of children who may not live to celebrate another birthday. They often comment how they’ve gained from the sick children more than they’ve given.
House of Dreams Day Center
The Center offers children who aren’t in school a chance to relax, laugh, play, and make up for lost studies. Healthy siblings and parents are also invited to join the activities, the spa, the ‘big sister/brother’ program, learn new skills, and more. Since 1998, we’ve supported 38,200 families who have a child with cancer at the center.

Supporting children and their families

In-house psychologists
The psychologists join our camps and are present at the House of Dreams Day Center to support the sick children, the healthy siblings, the parents, and our madrichim and madrichot. They provide a listening ear to everyone who is affected by the sick child so they can process their sadness in a healthy way.
The Clinic of Hope
Located at our House of Dreams Day Center, parents with a sick child can consult with world-acclaimed oncologists to discuss possible treatment options, get a second opinion, and ask any questions about the process. The doctors are innovative and provide treatment plans for parents with little other hope.
Support Groups For Families
Our support groups cater to children with cancer, their parents and their siblings. With professional psychologists leading the groups, everyone involved with the sickness can feel supported, cared for, and validated, so we can make the journey feel less lonely.

Making the journey less lonely

The Mobile Medical Clinic
Since every child in every stage of illness is welcome to join our camps, retreats, and trips, we have a full mobile hospital accompanying us wherever we go. When not used as a mobile hospital, it is converted to a wig and beauty salon and parked outside hospitals. We teach children and their parents how to care for their wigs while allowing them to feel pampered during their difficult ordeal.
Hair donations and wigs
One of the first questions girls ask when they hear their diagnosis is: “Will I lose my hair?” We give children a beautiful, custom-made wig completely free of charge. This is made possible by children from all over the world who donate their hair and raise sponsorship while doing this selfless act.
The Blood Components Database
We have a database of volunteers who are willing to donate blood and platelets on short notice for children with cancer in need of a blood transfusion. We also have a blood bank at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and ensure that we have enough blood at all times. Our volunteers sit for 90 minutes at a time to donate blood!

Beating Cancer, One Bite At A Time

Zichron Menachem is a sanctuary of hope for kids battling cancer and their families across Israel. Ensuring that these kids have access to nutritious meals is crucial for their health and well-being. We need your help to continue providing balanced and nourishing meals.

Just $18 a month for one kid, can make a world of difference. Together, let’s make this difference, one kid, one meal, one act of kindness at a time, or as many meals a month as you wish. It’s not just a meal; it’s a lifeline.

Please help us by contributing to our page, and by building your own to spread awareness, and create opportunities for others to contribute. Donating is easy and safe.

Your donation is more than a gift; it’s a lifeline, a promise, a beacon of light in a world too often shrouded in shadows!
